- great companies the map never showed
We searched Google Maps the way homeowners do: the most common roofer searches, from five points across every city we cover. Then we looked at every company that came up.
The top three spots on the map go to the same few companies again and again. Being a great roofer is not enough to get there. We found 1,177 companies with 4.5 stars or more and at least 20 reviews that never once made the top three in any of our searches.
How We Pick the Five
Every company we feature meets all eight of these. Then the best five in each city are ordered by their Google rating and how many reviews back it up.
- A true rooferIts main Google category is roofing, and its customers' reviews are about roofing work.
- 4.5 stars or higherRated by its own customers on Google.
- 20 reviews or moreEnough history to trust the rating.
- A real websiteA company you can look up and check before you call.
- Local to the cityBased within about 15 miles of the city center.
- IndependentNot a national chain or franchise.
- Hidden on the mapNever in Google Maps' top three for the city's main searches, from any of five points across town.
- Off Google's first pageIts website does not reach page one for those searches either.
Why It Matters
Homeowners deserve to see the best roofers near them, not just the ones that win the map. And good local businesses deserve a fair shot at the work their customers already say they do well.
Every call, website visit and quote request from Florida Roofing Hub goes straight to the company. We do not resell your request to a list of contractors.
